Description

GP-226 is a 100% active polyoxyethylene (EO) modified dimethylpolysiloxane block copolymer. GP-226 is water-dispersible and resistant to breakdown by hydrolysis due to the presence of stable Si - C bonds between silicone and polyol block sections. Some of the special properties of GP-226 are listed below:

Applications

GP-226 is recommended for use as a wetting agent or emulsifier in water-based coatings, inks, polishes and hard surface cleaners. Additionally, GP-226 may be used as a dispersing agent for the incorporation of clays, pigments and other powders in water.Other applications include the following:

  • Leveling and Flow Control Agent
  • Thread Lubricant

GP-226 has a very low order of toxicity, but should still be handled with all precautions common to the use of any industrial chemical product. Consult Safety Data Sheet for additional details.

Packaging/Handling/Storage

GP-226 is supplied in 5-gallon (40 lbs.) pails, 55-gallon (460 lbs.) drums and 330-gallon (2760 lbs.) totes.  Moisture Sensitive. Keep containers tightly sealed. Store below 100° F.
