Description

GP-34 is an Amine/Alkoxy Functional Silicone Fluid where x=400-500.

The combination of amine and alkoxy groups in GP-34 provides a rapid cross-linking reaction when the product is exposed to atmospheric moisture. The high molecular weight of this resin gives it some very unique properties, including:

Applications

The combination of amino-propyl and methoxy functional groups suggests primary applications in mold-release agents, room temperature curing sealants, coatings, adhesives and detergent resistant polishes. Processing and Safety Guidelines

GP-34 shows a very rapid conversion to crosslinked silicone rubber when exposed to atmospheric moisture. When mixing with solvents, fillers and other materials, make sure that dry conditions are maintained. Containers of GP-34 must be tightly sealed in storage and pressurized slightly with dry nitrogen when transferring or before resealing.

Packaging/Handling/Storage

GP-34 is supplied in 5-gallon (40 lbs.) pails, 55-gallon (440 lbs.) drums and 330-gallon (2640 lbs.) totes.  GP-34 is Moisture Sensitive. Keep containers tightly sealed when not in use.
