Description
GP-74 is 100% active methylalkylaryl silicone designed to provide good release of molded metal, plastic or rubber parts. GP-74 contains a higher degree of aromatic side chains than many paintable silicone fluids. This property gives better release performance than lower aromatic content silicone fluids in the molding of selected rubber polymers. GP-74 is compatible with most organic coatings and adhesives, allowing subsequent coating of molded parts without unusual surface preparation. Processing and Safety Guidelines
GP-74 has been formulated to provide good compatibility with organic coatings and adhesives. Nonetheless, surfaces contaminated with GP-74 should be cleaned properly before painting or bonding - as is true even with conventional petroleum oil contaminants. GP-74 should be handled with the same precautions common to the use of industrial products. For additional safety precautions, refer to Material Safety Data Sheet.
Packaging/Handling/Storage
GP-74 is supplied in 5-gallon (40 lbs.) pails and 55-gallon (440 lbs.) drums.
