GP-966 is an amine functional silicone polymer where x=334.
GP-966 is an amine-alkyl terminated dimethyl silicone polymer, which is intended for use as a component in the synthesis of silicone - organic block copolymers. GP-966 is compatible with dimethyl silicone fluids, and with aliphatic, aromatic and chlorinated solvents. Some of the special properties of GP-966 are listed below:

GP-966 is made by a unique process that gives essentially pure gamma-aminopropyl substitution without the beta-aminopropyl impurity sometimes found in this type of polymer. This is expected to be particularly important in production of silicone-polyimide copolymers useful for high temperature electronics applications. Other silicone-organic copolymers that can be made with GP-966 include epoxy, polyurethane and polyamide silicone copolymers.
The polar amine groups in GP-966 also demonstrate high affinity for many substrates, suggesting use of GP-966 in textile lubricants, plastic and rubber release and lubrication, and in car polish formulations.
Processing and Safety Guidelines
GP-966 is an alkaline material due to its amine reactive groups. Care should be exercised in handling GP-966 to prevent contact with skin or eyes. Wear safety glasses with side shields and rubber gloves when handling. For additional safety precautions, refer to Safety Data Sheet.
GP-966 is supplied in 5-gallon (40 lbs.) pails, 55-gallon (440 lbs.) drums and 330-gallon (2640 lbs.) totes. Moisture Sensitive. Keep container tightly sealed. Store below 100° F. Do not weld or cut drum, even when empty.
