Description

GP-219 is a 100% active polyoxyethylene modified dimethylpolysiloxane block copolymer. GP-219 is not water soluble because of the low content of polyoxyethylene in the copolymer. GP-219 contains no reactive functional groups and is chemically inert. The silicone and polyoxyethylene block polymer components of GP-219 are joined through Silicon to Carbon bonds, insuring resistance to breakdown through hydrolysis. Applications

The indicated value of HLB (Hydrophile/Lipophile Balance) of 8.4 suggests use of GP-219 as an emulsifier for water in oil emulsions (w/o), or as a pigment dispersant for thermoplastics or solvent-based coatings. Other applications include the following:

  • Wetting Agent
  • Leveling and Flow Control Agent
  • Thread Lubricant

Packaging/Handling/Storage

GP-219 is supplied in 5-gallon (40 lbs.) pails, 55-gallon (460 lbs.) drums and 330-gallon (2760 lbs.) totes. Moisture Sensitive. Keep containers tightly sealed. Store below 100° F.
