Description

GP-209 is a 100% active Nonionic silicone polyol block copolymer. GP-209 contains polyoxyethylene(EO) - polyoxypropylene(PO) copolymer blocks and dimethyl silicone polymer blocks which are joined through non-hydrolyzable silicon to carbon bonds. GP-209 exhibits inverse solubility versus temperature characteristics, becoming insoluble in water as temperature is increased to approximately 40° C (104° F). This property suggests use as a defoamer for hot aqueous surfactant solutions. GP-209 contains no functional groups and is chemically inert, and essentially non-toxic. Some of the special properties of GP-209 are listed below:

  • Low Surface Tension
  • Water Soluble
  • Non-Hydrolyzable
  • Low Freeze Point
